Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited as the pioneer of modern studies of eyewitnesses' memory, and children as witnesses. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards international and national levels. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the world on policies and research concerning child victims in the legal system. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
